Application in Cancer Treatment

Healing for cancer exists through the use of yoga, said a cancer specialist in San Antonio, Texas, at a seminar in Oklahoma City in the 1980s.

But the doctor refused to admit the medicine, said Colonel Hansa Raval, M.D., a pathologist with the United States Army. Dr. Raval said his work in cytotechnology - the branch of diagnostic medicine designed to pinpoint the early stages of cancer - did not work until he began researching the use of non-conventional methods of treatment.

Specialists say he witnessed the use of Raja yoga and meditation to cure arthritis, headaches and even crippling cancer.
